US aggression on Iran: Fear of war spreading from Cyprus to Britain

Iran has made veiled and open threats that a possible conflict with the United States could spread beyond the Middle East and reach Europe. Military officials and hardline lawmakers in the country have warned that any new military clash with the United States could go past the borders of the Middle East. They say it could stretch from Cyprus all the way to Britain.

According to Iranian media and security analysts, Western military bases on European soil have also begun to be named as possible targets of this conflict. Policymakers in Tehran are using this aggressive military language at a time when talks with the West on the nuclear issue and wider geopolitical bargaining are under strain.

Iran’s new strategy has caused deep worry in the international community while tension with the US administration and Israel continues. Western defence experts believe such threats against European allies outside the Middle East will make the world security crisis even more complex.
