Shahid Afridi Foundation Builds 750+ Homes Across Pakistan, Providing Underprivileged Families with Safe Shelter and a Fresh Start

Shahid Afridi has reached another special milestone off the cricket field. The Shahid Afridi Foundation, set up by the former Pakistan captain, has built more than 750 houses across Pakistan. As a result, hundreds of poor families now have safe shelter and a chance to start life anew.

Afridi shared the news on social media and thanked his fans and donors, whose help made the effort a success. The former all rounder won the hearts of millions of fans with his explosive batting during his playing days. Now he keeps working to bring positive change to society through his humanitarian work.

Afridi shared the foundation’s success on X, formerly Twitter, and thanked everyone who gave. He wrote “Alhamdulillah” and said that by building more than 750 houses, countless families got a safe place to live, solar power and fresh hope for a better life. He also thanked his fans for their steady trust and faith in him.

Afridi called on more people to help so that more helpless families can fulfil their dream of owning a home. The former Pakistan captain also asked people to donate by SMS. He said even a small donation can bring a big change to someone’s life.

Afridi’s work beyond cricket

The Shahid Afridi Foundation, set up in 2014, works on many humanitarian efforts, including education, health care, clean drinking water and emergency relief. The foundation’s housing programme has also grown a lot. In June 2025, Afridi said his foundation had built 350 houses in Sindh and Balochistan.

The latest news of more than 750 houses shows how far the effort has come. Afridi played 27 Tests, 398 ODIs and 99 T20Is for Pakistan. His international cricket career has ended, but his journey in social work still goes on.
