Amend Hiba law in consultation with Haqqani scholars, not in conflict with Quran and Sunnah: Pir Saheb of Sarsina

Pir Saheb of Sarsina Darbar Sharif, Alhaj Hazrat Mawlana Shah Abu Nasr Nesarruddin Ahmad Hossain (M.J.), has said the government must refrain from enacting any law that conflicts with the religious beliefs of the people of the country and the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah. He particularly called for laws and policy decisions to be made in consultation with Haqqani Islamic scholars.
In a statement on Wednesday, September 9, he demanded that the ongoing Hiba law be reconsidered and amended as necessary after taking the opinions of the country’s scholars.
He said decisions on matters related to Islamic Shariah would be more acceptable and beneficial to the public if they were made based on consultations with Haqqani scholars and experts in Islamic law.
He urged the authorities concerned to amend the ongoing Hiba law and bring it into conformity with the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.
