Heatwave Prevails Over 25 Districts
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has said a mild heatwave is prevailing over 25 districts of the country. The agency also said temperatures across the country may drop slightly tonight and during the day tomorrow (Wednesday) amid the heatwave. The information was provided in a forecast issued by Bangladesh Meteorological Department meteorologist A.K.M. Nazmul Haque on Tuesday (September 15).
The Meteorological Department said that by 6:00pm tomorrow, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places in Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions. Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur at places in Rangpur, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions.
The agency said a mild heatwave is prevailing over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, as well as Dhaka, Tangail, Manikganj, Kishoreganj, Rajshahi, Sirajganj, Rangpur, Nilphamari, Chandpur, Feni, Jashore, Chuadanga, Kushtia, Satkhira, Khulna, Barishal and Patuakhali districts, and it may subside in some places. Meanwhile, day and night temperatures across the country may drop slightly.
From 6:00pm tomorrow (Wednesday, September 16) to the following 24 hours, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places in Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions. Moderate to very heavy rainfall may occur at places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, while day and night temperatures across the country may remain nearly unchanged.
From 6:00pm Thursday (September 17) to the following 24 hours, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur at some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places in Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions. Moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some places across the country, while day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged.
From 6:00pm Friday (September 18) to the following 24 hours, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur at some places in Chattogram division and at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions. Day and night temperatures across the country may rise slightly.
From 6:00pm Saturday (September 19) to the following 24 hours, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur at many places in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions. Moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some places across the country, while day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged.
