Qatar’s Ameer and Iran’s President Meet in Moscow

The Ameer of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Iran’s President, Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian, met in Moscow, the capital of Russia. Iran’s state news agency IRNA confirmed that the two leaders held the bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the eighth summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).

In the meeting, the two leaders held detailed talks on ways to move their bilateral relations forward. They especially discussed how to strengthen mutual cooperation in the energy sector, including gas. IRNA reported that the leaders reviewed the existing ties between Tehran and Doha.

Both leaders stressed the need to widen their political and economic partnership. They also agreed to use all available opportunities to take the relations between the two countries to a new height.
