Pirs came to this country to establish Islam, not to sell it: Pir Saheb of Sarsina

Amir of Hizbullah and Pir Saheb of Sarsina Darbar Sharif, Alhaj Hazrat Maulana Mufti Shah Abu Nasr Nesaruddin Ahmad Hussain, has said the pirs and mashayekh of this country came to establish Islam, not to sell it. He said their main aim is to teach people the right lessons of the Quran and Sunnah. They also help people build their lives on the ideals of Islam and set up morality and religious values in society. He said their work is not for personal gain or worldly profit, but to please Allah and to purify people in spirit and character.

He said true pirs and friends of Allah have guided people on the path of faith in every age. Through their teaching and guidance, people turn away from injustice and sin and find the will to build a better life. He said their contribution must be valued properly. He also said people must follow their teachings and ideals based on the Quran and Sunnah.

He said Islam is not limited to formal worship. Its teachings must be put into practice in personal, family, social and state life. He said one key duty of religious elders is to awaken piety, honesty, trust, mutual kindness and human values in people. He urged everyone to gain true religious education and to care for the remembrance of Allah and good deeds.

He spoke on Friday (30 October) afternoon as chief guest at the 20th annual Waz and Dua Mahfil. It was held on the road beside Madina Market in Kamalbagh, Chawkbazar, Dhaka. The program marked the celebration of Eid-e-Miladunnabi (SAW) and Isal-e-Sawab. Bangladesh Jamiyate Hizbullah Dhaka South and the people of Kamalbagh organized it.

Bir Muktijoddha Mr. Md. Abdus Salam, Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation, was also present as a chief guest. Haji Mr. Md. Humayun Kabir, former councillor of Ward 32 of Dhaka South City Corporation, presided over the Mahfil. Local ulama, devout worshippers, leaders and workers of Jamiyate Hizbullah and notable people of the area were also present.

The scholars who came with the Pir Saheb gave Waz and advice at the Mahfil. After the talks, a special Dua and Munajat was held. It prayed for peace, welfare and prosperity of the country, the nation and the Muslim Ummah. It also prayed for forgiveness for the departed souls.
