Inqilab Journalist Munsi Kamal Ataturk Mishel Passes Away

Munsi Kamal Ataturk Mishel, a roving correspondent of Daily Inqilab and a veteran journalist from Chandina in Cumilla, has passed away. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.
He breathed his last at 5:40am on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at Popular Hospital in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. He is survived by his wife, children, relatives and many well-wishers.
According to family sources, Munsi Kamal Ataturk Mishel was recently brought to Dhaka and admitted to Popular Hospital after suffering from a brain haemorrhage. He died early Tuesday while undergoing treatment in intensive care.
His namaz-e-janaza is scheduled to be held after Asr prayers on Tuesday at his ancestral home in Elliotganj of Chandina Upazila, Cumilla. He is expected to be buried at the family graveyard following the janaza.

For a long time, he travelled extensively as a field journalist, highlighting various irregularities at the grassroots level, people’s sufferings and the truth behind news events. His contribution to the Inqilab family will be remembered with respect.
Meanwhile, the journalist community in Cumilla, Chandina Press Club, and leaders of local social and political organisations have expressed deep grief and sorrow over his death.
