Army Chief Departs for Japan to Attend Asian Games Opening Ceremony

Chief of Army Staff and President of the Bangladesh Olympic Association, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, has embarked on a four-day official visit to Japan. He departed from Dhaka for Japan on Wednesday (September 16). During his visit, General Waker-Uz-Zaman will attend the opening ceremony of the 20th Asian Games, to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

Additionally, he will be present at various Asian Games events. He is scheduled to participate in several bilateral meetings with senior officials of the Asian Games and the Olympic Association during the tour. Various issues of mutual interest will be discussed in these meetings.
