No Hardship, Neglect or Injustice Against Hajj Pilgrims Will Be Tolerated: Religious Affairs Minister
Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaykobad) has directed all concerned to work responsibly to ensure that Hajj pilgrims do not face any hardship, neglect or injustice.
He said all Hajj pilgrims under both government and private management are equally important to the ministry. Private Hajj agencies must work responsibly to serve the pilgrims, while ministry officials must provide all necessary assistance.
The minister made the remarks on Tuesday while presiding over a meeting held to distribute Hajj pilgrim quotas among 30 alliances/lead agencies participating in the 2027 Hajj operations and complete related activities. The meeting was held at the conference room of the Ministry of Religious Affairs at the Secretariat.
The Religious Affairs Minister said the ministry is always ready to serve Hajj pilgrims. The ministry will provide all necessary assistance for whatever is required to serve the pilgrims. Private Hajj agencies must properly fulfil their responsibilities so that no pilgrim faces any hardship.
He further said that if any mistake or error occurs, everyone should focus on resolving the problem quickly and moving forward instead of blaming one another. Government and private management must work in coordination. At the same time, Hajj operations must be conducted in full compliance with the rules and regulations of Saudi Arabia.
Addressing ministry officials, the Religious Affairs Minister said that whenever someone approaches them regarding any decision or task, arrangements must be made to implement it within 24 hours. Strict action will be taken if anyone is unnecessarily made to make rounds or subjected to harassment. Noting that the majority of the quota for 2027 will be managed through private Hajj agencies, he directed the relevant officials to provide full cooperation to facilitate the agencies’ work.
The Religious Affairs Minister said Hajj is a highly sensitive trust for the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Everyone must perform their duties considering themselves servants and caregivers of the pilgrims. He sought everyone’s cooperation and prayers for the successful completion of the Hajj operations.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and other relevant officials.
