PM Urges Global Leaders to Collaborate on Achieving Sustainable Development Goals
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called upon world leaders to work together based on mutual cooperation, empathy, and shared responsibility to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In a video message sent to the ‘SDG Moment’ event organized by the United Nations, he said, ‘We are lagging far behind in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. We must take effective action now and work together in unison.’
On Saturday, September 19, the PM emphasized strengthening international partnerships, sharing experiences, and taking collective initiatives in implementing the SDGs. Heads of state and government from various countries also delivered video messages at the event.
It is worth noting that PM Tarique Rahman will depart Dhaka for New York, USA, next Monday, September 21, to attend the high-level segment of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA-81).
