Saudi airspace is not safe: Houthis warn airlines

The Iran backed Houthi rebels of Yemen have issued a strong warning that Saudi Arabia’s airspace is no longer safe. They say airlines will face risk while flying through Saudi airspace for as long as Riyadh’s “aggression” continues. The warning was sent to airlines as an urgent message.
A media outlet controlled by the Houthis reported the news. It said the Maritime Coordination Body of the Houthis sent the emergency message to various airlines on Monday.
Saudi backed government forces in Yemen have recently stepped up a major military operation against the Houthi rebels. The Houthis have given this warning on air travel as a response to that operation.
Media contacted the media office of the Saudi government about the Houthi threat and warning. There was no immediate comment from them.
