Saudi Arabia Allows Skilled Foreign Workers to Bring Families During Visa Processing

Saudi Arabia has introduced a new facility allowing eligible family members of skilled foreign workers to enter the country while the workers’ employment visas are still being processed. The Interior Ministry announced the move on Tuesday.
According to Arab News, the initiative was introduced jointly by the Saudi Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. The move aims to improve the quality of life for expatriates living in the country.
Under the new rules, eligible workers can bring their wives, sons under 25 and unmarried daughters to Saudi Arabia before the employment process is fully completed. Subject to meeting all required conditions, entry visas for eligible family members can be issued while the main worker’s employment visa is being processed.
After arriving in Saudi Arabia, family members can complete the process of obtaining their residence permits, or Iqamas, in accordance with the country’s applicable laws and regulations.
