Regarding the Predetermined Time of the Day of Judgement

Question: I would like to know when the Day of Judgement will come.

Answer: Belief that the Day of Judgement will come is a fundamental tenet of Islam. However, Allah (SWT) has not revealed its exact timing. Only Allah (SWT) has knowledge of when it will occur.

Nevertheless, the history of humankind indicates that the advent of the final Prophet, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), was a major milestone in the approach of the Day of Judgement. The period following his arrival is considered an era close to the Day of Judgement.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) foretold many signs of the Day of Judgement. Over the past 1,400 years, these signs have gradually begun to appear. Once the major signs emerge in the future, the Day of Judgement will follow.
