Bangladeshi Students Increasingly Drawn to Computer Science and AI Programs in China

Bangladeshi students seeking higher education in China are demonstrating a growing interest in computer science, technology, and artificial intelligence (AI), according to officials from a Chinese university.

Speaking at an on-site admission event organized at the MalishaEdu Bangladesh office in Banani, Sunny Shao, Dean of the College of International Education at Shenyang Urban Construction University, noted that computer science and technology rank among the most sought-after programs for international applicants, including those from Bangladesh.
“Our university offers 35 degree programs, six of which are available to international students,” Sunny Shao said, highlighting architecture, civil engineering, business administration, and computer science and technology as key fields of study.

International students can complete their studies in English, while those proficient in Chinese may opt for programs taught in Mandarin.

The university hosts over 800 international students from 50 countries, including approximately 50 from Bangladesh. “We expect to welcome more than 100 new Bangladeshi students next year,” Sunny Shao added.
The admission drive provided prospective students with comprehensive information on academic opportunities and entry requirements at the Chinese institution.
