U.S. Embassy Warning: Working in the U.S. Not Permitted on B1/B2 Visas

The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka has warned Bangladeshi nationals against seeking employment or working in the United States while traveling on a B1/B2 visitor visa.
In a notice published on its website on Wednesday, October 28, the embassy stated that working in the U.S. is strictly prohibited under a B1/B2 visitor visa. Travelers are advised to familiarize themselves with the relevant rules and regulations before traveling on this visa.
The notice highlighted that while a B1/B2 visa permits attending business meetings and negotiating contracts, individuals intending to work or take up employment in the U.S. must obtain an appropriate visa category tailored to their specific type of work.
