Jamiatul Mudarresin Announces Bhola Sadar Upazila Committee

The full 181-member committee of the Bhola Sadar Upazila branch of Jamiatul Mudarresin for the next five years was formally announced at 10am on Wednesday.

The announcement was made at a ceremony held in the conference room of Bhola Darul Hadis Kamil Madrasa. Maulana Mohammad Mobashwirul Haque Naim, the organisation’s Bhola district secretary and acting principal of Bhola Darul Hadis Kamil Madrasa, announced the newly formed committee as the chief guest.

The programme was chaired by Maulana Abdul Latif, chief adviser to the Bhola Sadar Upazila branch of Jamiatul Mudarresin and former principal of Chandraprasad Alim Madrasa. Maulana Md Hossain, the Bhola district organising secretary and superintendent of Ramganj Tofailia Dakhil Madrasa in Lalmohan, was present as a special guest. Maulana Md Harun, outgoing secretary of the Bhola Sadar Upazila branch and superintendent of Dakshin Koralia Dakhil Madrasa, delivered the welcome address.

In his speech, Maulana Mohammad Mobashwirul Haque Naim thanked the outgoing committee members for their sacrifices, skills, sincerity and dedication in carrying out their organisational responsibilities. He prayed for the forgiveness of deceased members and stressed the importance of introducing their contributions to the organisation to younger generations.

He said Maulana MA Mannan (RA), the late former president of Jamiatul Mudarresin, former minister and founder of Daily Inqilab, had made outstanding contributions to madrasa education and improving the status of teachers in the country. He said younger generations needed to learn about Mannan’s contributions and life’s work. His contributions should be acknowledged from generation to generation. He also expressed gratitude to the late leader’s family.

Calling for unity in safeguarding teachers’ rights, Maulana Naim said Jamiatul Mudarresin was a non-political professional organisation and a common platform for Islamic scholars, spiritual leaders and madrasa teachers. He urged everyone to remain united in pursuing teachers’ professional interests and rights, regardless of personal differences or their positions within the organisation.

Maulana Md Shamsul Alam Chowdhury, principal of Paschim Dhania Alim Madrasa, has been named president. The vice-presidents are Alhaj Maulana Mir Md Belayet Hossain, Maulana Md Musa Kalimullah, Maulana Md Sirajul Islam, Maulana Md Abu Zafar Abdullah, Maulana Foyzullah, Maulana Md Abdus Sabur, Maulana Md Mohiuddin, Maulana Md Zakir Hossain, Maulana Md Ismail, Maulana Abdur Rahman Chowdhury, Maulana Md Faruk and Maulana Md Sharif Uddin.

Maulana Md Harun has been named general secretary. The joint general secretaries are Maulana Md Mosharraf Hossain, Maulana Md Rafiqul Islam, Md Akter Uddin and Md Hasan Uddin. Maulana Md Badshah Alam has been named organising secretary, Maulana Md Zakir Hossain office secretary, and Maulana Md Mohibullah publicity secretary, among others.
