Nationwide Flag Hoisting Ordered for November 7 National Revolution and Solidarity Day

The Cabinet Division has ordered people to hoist the national flag on National Revolution and Solidarity Day. It issued the notice yesterday, Sunday. The notice says the Bangladesh national flag will fly on all government, semi government, autonomous and private buildings, and at Bangladesh embassies abroad, to mark the day.

Last month, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notice declaring a general holiday for the day. The notice says that, following a decision of the cabinet meeting held earlier that month, the government declares a general holiday every year for National Revolution and Solidarity Day. It cites serial number 37 in the Ministry of Public Administration part of the Allocation of Business among the Different Ministries and Divisions (Schedule One of the Rules of Business, 1996, amended February 2024).
