Training Course for Wrestling Referees Commences

To raise the standards of international-standard wrestling referees, the International Wrestling Referee’s Training Course, organized by the Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation, began yesterday. Aimed at enhancing the skills and proficiency of Bangladeshi referees in international competitions, the training is being conducted by Stefan Rudvics, an Australian referee educator recognized by United World Wrestling. Fifteen local referees are undergoing training under his guidance.
At the same time, the ‘Technical Course for Coaches Level-One’ is being held to improve the standards of wrestling coaches. Fifteen local instructors are participating in the course, which is being conducted by Hassan Ibrahim Madani Ibrahim, an African regional educator for United World Wrestling. Through these two training courses, the federation expects to further improve the skills of Bangladeshi referees and coaches in the international arena, as well as play an effective role in developing the quality of wrestling in the country.
