Ala Hazrat’s Philosophy Essential in the Contemporary World

Speakers at an Ala Hazrat conference said the reforms and philosophy of Imam Ala Hazrat were essential in the current global situation. They said building a society free from terrorism, corruption and drugs had become imperative.
The conference was organised by the Imam-e-Azam and Ala Hazrat Research Council at the BMA Auditorium in the capital from 9:00am on Saturday (November 7), marking the 108th death anniversary of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan, Ala Hazrat.
The programme was presided over by Principal Syed Muhammad Osiyar Rahman Al-Qaderi. Ekushey Padak-winning PHP Chairman Sufi Muhammad Mizanur Rahman delivered the welcome address. Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat Chairman Sheikhul Hadith Kazi Muhammad Mueen Uddin Ashrafi attended as the chief guest. Its Executive Chairman Allama Abul Kashem Nuri was the main speaker, while Pir Mufti Mostak Ahmad Oyesi also delivered the welcome address.
In his speech, chief guest Sheikhul Hadith Kazi Muhammad Mueen Uddin Ashrafi said repeated attacks on shrines in the name of Tawhidi Janata during the interim government and the current government’s tenure had disappointed 80 per cent of the country’s Sufi community.
He questioned the government whether Sufis were being targeted because they were not accustomed to destructive and terrorist activities. Expressing concern, he said the prevailing disorder in the country and the failure to bring those responsible for attacks on the shrines and mausoleums of Allah’s saints to justice were ominous signs.
He said the sooner the attackers were brought to justice, the better it would be for the country. He also questioned whether those who attacked shrines while chanting “Nara-e-Takbir” and exhumed bodies from graves and set them on fire represented a new religion.
In his inaugural speech, Sufi Mizan said Islamic education had become essential in the present circumstances. Due to a lack of proper Islamic education, children born into Muslim families were becoming addicted to drugs and getting involved in terrorist activities.
He said newly introduced sects imported from abroad were largely responsible for such destruction. In these difficult times, following the teachings, life and works of great scholars like Ala Hazrat would play an important role in eliminating militancy. He said Ala Hazrat had earned a place in the hearts of people across the world by spreading the message of Islam, and everyone should follow his example.
The discussion was moderated by the organisation’s convener, Vice-Principal Mufti Abul Kashem Muhammad Fazlul Haque.

He said studying the writings of Imam Ala Hazrat in depth could help them protect themselves from such deviation.
He said making sudden comments on important issues raised by renowned Islamic scholars without observing, explaining and analysing their statements was a sign of ignorance.
He added that whenever someone sought a fatwa or clarification from Ala Hazrat, he would explain the matter in depth and provide a solution or guidance on the right path.
He said the philosophy and research of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi (RA), the reviver of the 14th Islamic century, had become essential for everyone. Imam Ala Hazrat had set an exemplary standard by working throughout his life to build a peaceful society and state and ensure the liberation of humanity.
