Iran’s IRGC Claims to Have Shot Down 60 US Warplanes and Seized 7 Drones

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it shot down 260 enemy aircraft and aerial vehicles during the conflict initiated by the United States. It also claimed to have seized seven MQM-170 reconnaissance drones intact.

Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, spokesperson for the IRGC Aerospace Force, disclosed the information at an event marking Aerospace Week at the Sarcheshmeh Cultural Complex in Tehran.

The event also showcased Iran’s military capabilities. Officials said the country’s weapons and military equipment are now developed entirely using domestic technology and expertise. Iran does not depend on any foreign country to import essential weapons or equipment.

The IRGC also presented details of its secret underground missile facilities. Mr. Mohebbi issued a stern warning that Iran has new and unexpected military capabilities ready to surprise its adversaries if another war or conflict breaks out in the future.
