Why Has Ilias Kanchan Returned to Bangladesh?

Veteran actor and Chairman of Nirapad Sarak Chai, Ilias Kanchan, has returned to Bangladesh after receiving long-term treatment in London. Diagnosed with brain cancer, Kanchan’s health has deteriorated, and he has been gradually experiencing memory loss. Despite medical advice against travelling, he decided to return to meet the leaders and activists of Nirapad Sarak Chai, the organisation he founded, as he was uncertain whether he would have another opportunity to visit. The organisation has arranged a programme at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on August 7, where Kanchan will meet its members before returning to London within a few days.
