Massive Crowds Welcome PM in Banshkhali

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived at Banshkhali, Chattogram, on Sunday afternoon after an extensive tour of major development projects in Maheshkhali, including the coal-fired power plant and the Matarbari Deep Sea Port. He arrived at Baharchhara Sea Beach with cabinet ministers, and the public greeted him with enthusiasm. He spoke to a significant crowd, gave new house keys to 100 homeless families impacted by recent storms, and provided relief supplies.

During his earlier trip to Maheshkhali, the prime minister highlighted the importance of disaster-resilient development. Following his hectic schedule, he visited Hefazat-e-Islam Ameer Allama Shah Muhibullah Babunagari at Fatikchhari and then went to Hathazari to pay respects at the late Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi’s grave. He provided housing support and financial aid to flood-affected families and people with disabilities at the Hathazari Government College grounds.

The Prime Minister completed his journey by attending an organisational meeting at the Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View with regional and grassroots BNP leaders. His directions are expected to increase employment, investment, and local development, according to residents of Chattogram.
