Indian High Commissioner Meets PM Tarique Rahman

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Prime Minister’s Office at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday. The High Commissioner briefed the Prime Minister on his experience during his first two months in Dhaka. The meeting discussed important bilateral issues between Bangladesh and India.

Bangladesh urged India to expedite the extradition process for former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and reiterated its request to return those accused of involvement in the killing of martyr Osman Hadi. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman stressed the need to create a conducive environment to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
