Canada Issues Fresh Travel Warning for Bangladesh 

Canada has updated its travel advisory for Bangladesh, urging travellers to “exercise a high degree of caution” because of possible demonstrations, clashes and nationwide general strikes. The Canadian government warned that political tensions, judicial proceedings and political rallies could trigger protests and civil unrest with little warning, potentially disrupting transportation, forcing businesses to close and leading to violent confrontations. Canadian citizens in Bangladesh have been advised to avoid demonstrations and large gatherings and follow instructions from local authorities.
