Madrasa Teachers Encouraged by Minister’s Commitment to Education Reform

Leaders of the Bogura district unit of Bangladesh Jamiatul Modarresin paid a courtesy call on Mr. A.M.M. Bahauddin, President of the organization and Editor of Daily Inqilab, on Saturday at the Rural Development Academy in Sherpur, Bogura.
During the meeting, Education Minister Mr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Haque Milon joined by phone and spoke with the district leaders.
The minister said Prime Minister Mr. Tarique Rahman is working to improve madrasa education alongside general education, following the path of his parents, the late President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
He praised madrasa teachers for supporting efforts to ensure cheating-free examinations under the leadership of Mr. Bahauddin and expressed hope that their contributions to quality education would continue. “The government is committed to fulfilling your expectations,” Mr. Milon said.
The minister’s respectful remarks about Mr. Bahauddin and his positive comments on madrasa education were warmly received by the teachers present, who expressed appreciation and offered prayers for both the editor and the education minister.
