2027 Ramadan to Begin in February

Early astronomical computations have revealed the probable dates of the beginning of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr in 2027. As per the forecast, Ramadan is expected to commence on February 8, 2027, in certain parts of the Middle East and on February 9 in Bangladesh. The new moon of Ramadan 1448 AH is expected to be visible on February 7. If the moon is sighted, the first Tarawih prayer will be held after Isha that night. Fasting would then begin the following day. Ramadan is 29 or 30 days long based on the sighting of the moon. According to initial predictions, Eid al-Fitr will occur on March 10 in the Middle East region.
In Bangladesh, Ramadan is expected to commence on February 9, while the first Tarawih prayer will be conducted on February 8. If 29 fasts are completed, Eid could be observed on March 10. If 30 fasts are completed, Eid could fall on March 11. The final dates will depend on official moon-sighting announcements by the relevant authorities, including Bangladesh’s National Moon Sighting Committee.
