Palestinian Crisis Must Not Be Ignored: Xi Jinping
Chinese President Xi Jinping said the Palestinian crisis must not be ignored or pushed aside during a bilateral meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo.
Mr. Xi is on a two-day state visit to Egypt, marking the first visit by a Chinese president to the country in a decade. During the meeting, he reaffirmed Beijing’s support for regional countries seeking to build a new security framework in the Middle East, China’s state news agency Xinhua reported. “The core crisis in the Middle East is the Palestinian issue. There is no room for neglecting it,” Mr. Xi said.
