Giving a Working Wife’s Salary to Her Husband

Question: I am a working woman who has been in government service for about 16 years. During this long period, I have handed over almost all my salary to my husband for his business and to build a house. I have kept only a very small amount for my personal expenses without his knowledge. For about six months now, he has refused to cover household expenses, claiming his business is doing poorly, and he even borrows money from me. When I ask for it, he gets angry, though he eventually pays it back. However, sensing he might be making mistakes, I no longer wish to give him my money. I feel that if money is to be lost, it should be just one person’s. In this situation, if I refuse to give him money, it will cause domestic conflict. What should I do?

Answer: Adopt a course of action that prevents domestic discord while also protecting your money from being depleted.
