Dr. Bitu Visits Ailing Tashdid Following PM’s Directives

Under the directive of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, his personal physician, Dr. A.N.M. Monowarul Kadir Bitu, visited the residence of ailing student Mr. Shafqat Yunus Tashdid in Dhanmondi on Thursday morning. During this visit, Dr. Bitu closely inquired about the tenth-grader’s physical condition, offered essential medical advice, and conveyed the PM’s heartfelt wishes to his family. This proactive follow-up visit was carefully initiated to ensure the student’s continued recovery and overall well-being.

The sudden illness occurred earlier on Wednesday when Mr. Tashdid, a student at Sunnydale, collapsed while attending a session at the National Parliament. Upon learning of the emergency, PM Tarique Rahman personally rushed to check on the boy and immediately summoned Dr. Bitu. Following prompt first aid administered directly in the PM’s presence, the student was swiftly transferred to the Parliament’s medical center for a comprehensive health evaluation.

After receiving initial treatment, Dr. Bitu and Protocol Officer Mr. Kamrul Islam safely escorted Mr. Tashdid back to his home. It was later revealed that the young student has been battling a rare hormonal disorder for nearly seven years. The PM’s immediate intervention to arrange urgent medical care, coupled with his directive for a follow-up home visit, strongly reflects his deep sincerity and profound humanitarian compassion toward the young boy and his family.
