Verdict in Case Against Obaidul Quader and Six Others on Tuesday

The tribunal will deliver its verdict tomorrow, Tuesday, in the case against seven accused, including Obaidul Quader, general secretary of the banned Awami League, over crimes against humanity committed during the July mass uprising.
The information was disclosed by International Crimes Tribunal-2 on Monday. Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, chairman of Tribunal-2, will deliver the verdict.
The other accused in the case are AFM Bahauddin Nasim, joint general secretary of the banned Awami League; former State Minister for Information Mohammad Ali Arafat; Jubo League President Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash and General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil; and Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain and General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Enan. Chhatra League has been declared a banned terrorist organisation.
