Let Sheikh Hasina come tomorrow, We’ll receive her in handcuffs: Tourism Minister

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat has said the ousted fascist government looted the country to fill its own pockets and took away everything. However, he said, the money they looted cannot be enjoyed. “Now she will come to Bangladesh, and there will be a hanging.”
He said, “Sometimes we hear that she will come here by December 31, looking out from somewhere. They say this to create disorder and to make those hiding from the fascist era happy. That is why they make such statements.”
He further said, “We say, why December 31? Come tomorrow. We will receive you through the law. There will be two handcuffs with us.”
The minister made the remarks on Friday (September 18) morning while speaking as the chief guest at a programme in Ratanpur village of Ratanpur Union in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria. The programme was organised to hand over the keys to a new house and the land deed to Golapi Begum, an elderly destitute woman living in Dhaka’s Shahbagh, as a gift from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The aviation minister said, “You (the ousted fascist government) committed inhumane and anti-humanitarian acts against the people of Bangladesh. You will be tried on the soil of Bangladesh. We are waiting to conduct this trial. We have requested the neighbouring country to return Sheikh Hasina and her accomplices, who have fled, to us as soon as possible.”
The minister further said the government wants to address the violations of the rights of the people of Bangladesh, the looting of public money and other issues through a fair trial. Brahmanbaria-3 constituency MP Khaled Hossain Mahbub, Brahmanbaria-4 constituency MP Md. Abdul Mannan, District Council Administrator Sirajul Islam and others were present at the programme.
