PM Tarique Rahman Holds Bilateral Meeting with Turkish President

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman held a bilateral meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session. The high-level meeting was held on Tuesday (September 22) at the Turkish House in New York.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed various issues of mutual interest with a view to further strengthening and diversifying the historic and friendly relations between Bangladesh and Türkiye. They also held detailed discussions on the prospects of further expanding existing bilateral cooperation in various areas, including the economy, trade, technology and investment.
Various important issues concerning the regional and international arenas also came up for discussion. Particular emphasis was placed on continuing close cooperation and coordination between the two countries on issues of mutual interest at various international forums.
At the meeting, the two leaders expressed their firm resolve to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Türkiye and open up new areas of future cooperation based on mutual interests and shared priorities.
