Gas Supply Situation Returning to Normal: Petrobangla

The gas supply situation is beginning to return to normal as LNG (liquefied natural gas) transfer from a cargo to the floating terminal in Maheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar, has resumed.

Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources Corporation (Petrobangla) said this in a notice issued on Friday (September 25).

According to the notice, gas supply is returning to normal following the resumption of LNG transfer from the cargo to the floating terminal in Maheshkhali.

Earlier on Thursday (September 24), Petrobangla said adverse weather in the Maheshkhali area had disrupted the transfer of LNG from an imported cargo to the floating terminal. As a result, overall gas supply had declined somewhat from normal levels.

Petrobangla had said the gas supply situation would return to normal as soon as possible once weather conditions in the Bay of Bengal improved.
