HSC Results Likely in Mid-November

The results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations are likely to be published in mid-November. The Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has already begun preparations. Prof. Syed Akhtaruzzaman, president of the committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, disclosed the information on Friday.
He said the plan is to publish the results in mid-November and that the education boards have begun the necessary preparations.
This year’s HSC and equivalent examinations began on July 2 and ended on August 8. Practical examinations were scheduled to be completed by August 15. However, several written examinations under the Chattogram Education Board could not be held as scheduled due to natural disasters. The postponed examinations were later held, with the board’s written examinations concluding on September 9.
A total of 1,270,583 students from 9,439 educational institutions under 11 education boards took part in this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations. There were 2,697 examination centres across the country.
Among the general education boards, the Dhaka Education Board had the highest number of candidates, with 300,393 students taking the examinations at 310 centres. The Rajshahi board had 140,830 candidates, Jessore 117,210, Dinajpur 113,479, Chattogram 99,688 and Cumilla 94,802.
The Mymensingh board had 73,037 candidates, Sylhet 71,711 and Barishal 58,664.
Under the Madrasah Education Board, 92,905 students took the examinations at 461 centres, while 107,964 students sat for the examinations at 610 centres under the Technical Education Board.
