Bangladesh to Work with India Based on Mutual Respect: Humayun Kabir to Trivedi

Bangladesh has reaffirmed its commitment to working with India on matters of mutual interest in a forward-looking manner and based on mutual respect. Foreign Affairs State Minister Humayun Kabir made the remarks during a courtesy meeting with Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka on Tuesday.

The Indian high commissioner congratulated Humayun Kabir on his appointment as state minister for foreign affairs. The two sides discussed various bilateral issues between Bangladesh and India. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues, including the recently concluded 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, Humayun Kabir said Bangladesh remains committed to working with India on matters of mutual interest in a forward-looking and mutually respectful manner, for the benefit of the people of both countries.
