The Daily Inqilab launches its English online version

The Daily Inqilab, one of the leading daily newspapers in the country, has formally launched its English online version. The paper has reported the news for a long time under the slogan “For the country and the people”. Now it has begun a new journey of publishing online news in English.
Yesterday, the paper launched the English online version at a simple event at the Daily Inqilab building. Ms. Fahima Bahauddin, Online and Multimedia Editor of Daily Inqilab, was present. Executive Editor Ms. Nazifa Bahauddin, Admin and Operations Director Mr. Abdul Qader and Assistant Editor Mr. Mehedi Hasan Palash were also there. Journalists, officers and staff of the online and multimedia department joined them too.
At the launch, Ms. Fahima Bahauddin said she decided in her mind in 2017, when the paper began its online version, to start an English version for readers who feel at ease reading in English. She said that wish has finally come true, and her grandfather also held the same wish. Executive Editor Ms. Nazifa Bahauddin said the English version was a dream of the Inqilab family. She said it will serve the new generation and help the paper win new readers. She said the support of readers will take the paper a long way.
Assistant Editor Mr. Mehedi Hasan Palash said the founder of Inqilab, the late Maulana M A Mannan (Rah.), started a daily paper named Telegraph from the beginning. He did so to carry the voice of the Islamic values, history, culture and patriotism of the people of Bangladesh to the world. He said Inqilab Editor Mr. A M M Bahauddin has also always held the same wish. He said the new generation has now made that wish come true. He said Inqilab can now carry its views, thought and ideals beyond the borders of Bangladesh to the world.
The authorities of Daily Inqilab hope that readers at home and abroad can now read the paper’s news in English. Those concerned hope this will take the news of the Bangla paper to a wider group of readers around the world. Daily Inqilab aims to use its long years of experience in journalism to report regularly on this new platform. It will cover the country, politics, the economy, society and world affairs, among other topics.
