Gaza’s Humanitarian Crisis Deepens as Palestinian Death Toll Reaches 74,500

The death toll in the besieged Gaza Strip has reached nearly 74,500 as Israeli forces continue their attacks on the Palestinian territory.

According to the latest report from the Palestinian Health Ministry, a total of 74,494 Palestinians have been killed and 175,604 injured since the war began in October 2023.

The ministry said Israeli attacks and violence have continued despite the announcement of a so-called ceasefire. During this period, 1,534 Palestinians have been killed and 5,486 injured. Meanwhile, 846 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble.

Providing an update on the overall situation in the Gaza Strip, the ministry reported that seven more people were killed and 24 injured and taken to hospitals for treatment in the past 24 hours.

Continued attacks have brought Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure close to collapse, severely hampering the provision of emergency medical services to the injured.
