Nahid Demands Full Disclosure to the Nation on What Happened to Tahsif

National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener and Opposition Chief Whip Mr. Nahid Islam demanded that the nation be told in full detail what happened to former Air Force Flight Lieutenant KM Tahsif Sauri. He made the demand in a Facebook status the day before yesterday.

In the status, Mr. Islam wrote that police recovered the body of the former Air Force officer from the Turag River in Dhaka a day after he went missing. This happened a few days ago. He wrote “Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun” and said he was shocked and deeply hurt by the incident. He offered deep condolences to the grieving family and prayed that Almighty Allah give them patience in this hard time.

He demanded an immediate independent and impartial investigation. He said the full account of what happened to Tahsif after he went missing must be made clear to the nation. He also said that anyone involved must be identified quickly and brought to justice.

At the end of the status, Mr. Islam prayed for forgiveness for the late KM Tahsif. He asked Almighty Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
