Nezame Islam Party Condemns Killing of Muslim Youth in India and Siege Attempt on Bangladesh Mission

Bangladesh Nezame Islam Party has strongly condemned the mob lynching of two Muslim youths over alleged cattle smuggling in India, as well as an attempted siege of the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Kolkata. The party demanded a neutral investigation to bring those responsible to justice and ensure exemplary punishment.
These demands were made during a central executive council meeting held at the party’s central office in Dhaka. Presided over by Acting Amir Maulana Abdul Kaiyum Subhani and moderated by Secretary General Maulana Musa Bin Izhar, the meeting reviewed the country’s current political, social, economic, and law enforcement situation, alongside the party’s organizational plans.
Expressing deep concern over the fatal beating of two Muslim youths in Siliguri, West Bengal, party leaders emphasized that any criminal allegation must be handled through proper legal channels and investigation. Taking the law into one’s hands to commit murder is entirely unacceptable under the rule of law.
The party also denounced the protest near the Kolkata mission, noting that while peaceful protest is a right, targeting or breaching the security of a diplomatic mission sends a negative signal for bilateral relations. Warning that such actions harm mutual trust and cordiality between Bangladesh and India, leaders called for guaranteed security for the mission and its personnel, as well as legal action against the perpetrators.
Turning to domestic affairs, the party urged effective measures to curb extortion, land-grabbing, terrorism, drug abuse, and general criminality to restore law and order. Leaders stressed impartial law enforcement to guarantee the safety and property of all citizens regardless of affiliation.
On economic hardship, the meeting highlighted public suffering caused by essential commodity price hikes. The party demanded strict market monitoring, action against price-fixing syndicates and artificial shortages, and realistic policies to safeguard low- and middle-income purchasing power, alongside prioritizing public interest when setting energy and utility rates.
The meeting further stressed combating corruption, mismanagement, waste of public resources, and money laundering. Leaders called for improving educational standards, restoring discipline and morality on campuses, and nurturing ethical values among students.
Reaffirming that foreign policy must be anchored in sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interest, the council advocated for international relations based on equality and mutual respect. It also urged protective economic measures for farmers, workers, small entrepreneurs, and low-income groups.
To strengthen internal operations, the party resolved to step up grassroots outreach, leadership training, worker rallies, member recruitment, and welfare initiatives, while mandating regular organizational reporting from responsible officials.
It was also decided to conduct systematic training on the party’s core ideology, history, and operational guidelines to build honest, dedicated, and skilled leadership.
Finally, the council reiterated its commitment to advancing the Nezame Islam Party’s political and organizational agenda to establish public rights, justice, good governance, and overall social welfare.
