Solidarity with ‘INDIA’ Bloc Rally, but CJP Will Not Participate: Abhijit Dipke

While expressing solidarity with the opposition INDIA bloc’s protests over allegations of vote theft, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced it will not officially participate in the upcoming rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on Sunday, November 1. CJP founder Abhijit Dipke clarified this decision on Saturday, October 31, following a meeting with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Delhi. He emphasized that the party is choosing to refrain from official participation to preserve its independent and neutral political identity, while remaining committed to supporting any movement opposing vote tampering.

During the meeting, Mr. Dipke expressed gratitude to Mamata Banerjee for her unwavering support during CJP’s initial protest at Jantar Mantar regarding the NEET question paper leak, as well as her backing when leaders Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were arrested. Mr. Dipke stated, ‘Didi strongly supported our first protest at Jantar Mantar and stood firmly by the youth movement. She remained by our side even after Sourav and Ashutosh were arrested by the Delhi Police.’ He reiterated their stance on electoral integrity, adding, ‘Whoever fights against vote theft, we will support them. We will stand beside all organizations.’

In response, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee praised Dipke and the young activists for their proactive role in protests surrounding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists and their stance against the Election Commission. Speaking to reporters after the discussion, Ms. Banerjee affirmed the mutual alignment between the leadership and the youth movement, stating that the CJP extends its full support to Sunday’s scheduled demonstration and, in turn, her party stands firmly behind their independent cause as well.
