US Embassy Warns Bangladeshis: Arrest May Lead to Visa Cancellation and Deportation

The US Embassy in Dhaka has issued a fresh warning to Bangladeshis holding US visas, cautioning that an arrest in connection with any case could lead to visa revocation, deportation from the United States and possible ineligibility for future US visas.
The embassy published the warning in a post on its verified Facebook page on Saturday.
The post stated that if someone is arrested, their US visa could be revoked. They could also be deported from the United States and considered ineligible for a US visa in the future.
Earlier this month, the embassy issued another warning about the risk of visa revocation and permanent ineligibility for entry into the United States for involvement in criminal activities.
In the message published on its official Facebook page on October 10, the embassy said US visas could be revoked for involvement in crimes such as assault, theft, robbery and trespassing. Those concerned could also become permanently ineligible to enter the United States in the future.
The message further stated that the United States respects the rule of law and expects all foreign tourists and travellers visiting the country to comply with US laws.
Through these recent notices, the US Embassy in Dhaka has cautioned visa applicants and travellers about the importance of obeying US laws and refraining from criminal activities.
