31 Police Officials Transferred and Posted Together

The government has transferred and posted 31 police officials serving in various units at the same time. The Police 1 Branch of the Home Ministry issued three separate notifications on this matter yesterday, Tuesday. The notifications stated that these orders, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.

According to the Home Ministry notifications, the transferred and posted officials include those holding the ranks of additional DIG, superintendent of police and additional superintendent of police. The ministry has posted them to various police units, ranges, metropolitan police forces and training centers.

The first order transferred and posted 16 officials. Among them, Ms. Fatiha Yasmin, special superintendent of police (supernumerary additional DIG) at CID, has been posted as superintendent of police at APBN. Ms. Monalisa Begum, special superintendent of police at CID, has been made superintendent of police at Rangpur Police Training Center (PTC). Mr. Md. Zahidul Islam, special superintendent of police (supernumerary additional DIG) at CID, has been made commandant of the In Service Training Center in Rajshahi.

Mr. Md. Abu Hasan, AIG (supernumerary additional DIG) at Police Headquarters, has been posted as superintendent of police of the Industrial Police. Mr. Muhammad Rahmat Ullah, superintendent of police at Highway Police, had earlier been ordered to transfer to Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) as deputy commissioner of police. The ministry canceled that order and instead posted him as superintendent of police at Police Telecom, Dhaka.

Mr. Muhammad Matiur Rahman Siddiqui, superintendent of police at Police Telecom, Dhaka, has been posted to the in service training center of 6 APBN at Mahalchhari, Khagrachhari. Ms. Sharmin Akter, additional superintendent of police (supernumerary superintendent of police) at Police Headquarters, has been posted to the same rank at the Industrial Police.

Mr. Aminul Islam, special superintendent of police at Special Branch (SB), has been made superintendent of police at the Police Special Training School (PSTS) in Betbunia, Rangamati. Ms. Asma Akhtar, additional superintendent of police (supernumerary superintendent of police) at CID, has been posted to Police Headquarters.

Mr. Md. Nasir Uddin Zubayer, superintendent of police at Police Telecom, Razarbagh, has been made superintendent of police at Tourist Police, while Mr. Shahriar Bin Saleh, superintendent of police at the same unit, has been made superintendent of police at Railway Police.

Mr. Tofayel Ahmed, additional DIG (in current charge) of Khulna Range, has been made additional police commissioner (in current charge) at Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP). Mr. Md. Sajjadur Rahman Russel, superintendent of police at the Khulna Range DIG office, has been posted as deputy commissioner of police at BMP.

Ms. Marina Akter, deputy commissioner of police at Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP), has been made superintendent of police at Tourist Police. In addition, Mr. Mohammad Mahiul Islam, deputy commissioner of police at Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP), has been transferred as special superintendent of police at CID, while Mr. Mohammad Mohiuddin Ahmed, deputy commissioner of police at the same unit, has been transferred as deputy commissioner at Rangpur Metropolitan Police.

The notification also mentioned that an earlier order dated April 22 had directed Mr. Shahriar Al Mamun, superintendent of police, to transfer from APBN to Sylhet Metropolitan Police as deputy commissioner of police. That order has now been canceled.

The second notification covered the transfer and posting of 6 officials. Mr. Mohammad Enamul Haque, additional police commissioner (supernumerary DIG) at Sylhet Metropolitan Police, has been posted as additional DIG at APBN and the specialized training center in Khagrachhari. Mr. Paritosh Ghosh, DIG at the APBN and specialized training center in Khagrachhari, has been transferred to the APBN office for the hill districts.

Mr. Habibur Rahman Khan, DIG at Highway Police, has been made commandant of TDS in Dhaka. Mr. Mohammad Anisur Rahman, additional DIG at SB, has been posted to the Khulna Range DIG office.

Mr. Md. Gias Uddin Ahmed, additional DIG serving as officer on special duty (OSD) at the Home Ministry, has been attached to the Rangpur Range DIG office. Mr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin, superintendent of police who had joined as OSD at the same ministry, has been attached to the Rajshahi Range DIG office.

The third notification covered the transfer and posting of 9 officials. Mr. Md. Badruddoza, deputy director (superintendent of police rank) at RAB, has been made superintendent of police in Netrokona. Mr. Md. Tariqul Islam, superintendent of police in Netrokona, has been transferred as special superintendent of police at CID.

Mr. Jalal Uddin Fahim, AIG at Police Headquarters, has been made superintendent of police in Brahmanbaria. Mr. Shah Md. Abdur Rouf, superintendent of police in Brahmanbaria, has been transferred as special superintendent of police at Special Branch (SB).

Mr. Mir Monir Hossain, deputy director (superintendent of police rank) at RAB, has been made superintendent of police in Rajbari. Mr. Mohammad Manzur Morshed, superintendent of police in Rajbari, has been transferred as superintendent of police at Highway Police.

Mr. Ujjal Kumar Roy, superintendent of police in Meherpur, has been made special superintendent of police at CID, while Mr. Ali Haider Chowdhury, AIG at Police Headquarters, has been made superintendent of police in Meherpur. Mr. Md. Nurul Amin Howlader, superintendent of police (promoted to supernumerary additional DIG rank), has been posted at the Police Staff College, Dhaka.

The notifications, signed by Home Ministry Deputy Secretary Mr. Toufiq Ahmed, stated that these orders, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.
