41 Lakh Families to Receive Family Cards This Year: PM

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said that 41 lakh families will receive Family Cards this year. He made the statement on Friday (September 11) afternoon at a cheque distribution ceremony at the BNP Chairperson’s Office in Gulshan, Dhaka, where grants were handed over to representatives of mosques and temples in Dhaka-17 constituency.
At the event, he said the government was working to resolve the country’s electricity and energy problems. The Prime Minister said the electricity and energy crisis is a global issue, and Bangladesh is also facing its impact. He said the government is working to address the problem. He also said the government is trying to explore 130 gas wells in the country.
He said some dishonest people are involved in illegal activities involving gas, as well as oil and electricity. “To move the country forward, everyone must work together. Resistance must be built against those who engage in illegal activities and wrongdoing. No one will be allowed to illegally take away state resources.”
Referring to the use of state resources for personal interests in the past, the Prime Minister said the government is making every effort to ensure that no one can use state resources for personal benefit.
