42 Bangladeshi Students Leave for Pakistan for Higher Studies
The First batch of 42 Bangladeshi students has departed for Pakistan for higher studies under the second phase of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor. Mr. Imran Haider, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh, saw off the students at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday, September 24.
According to a press release from the Pakistan High Commission, these students were awarded fully funded, merit-based ‘Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships’ to pursue undergraduate, master’s, and PhD programs at top Pakistani universities. Last year, under Phase I of this initiative, 74 Bangladeshi students secured admissions to prestigious universities in Pakistan.
High Commissioner Mr. Imran Haider wished the students overall success in their academic journey. He expressed hope that they would make significant contributions to the bright future of their country and serve as a new bridge in strengthening people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
