Trust Jamiatul Modarresin’s Leadership for Job Nationalization, Speakers Urge

Leaders of Bangladesh Jamiatul Modarresin have urged private Madrasa teachers and employees to repose full trust in the organization to realize their legitimate demands, including job nationalization. Emphasizing unity under its banner, speakers noted that the organization has historically protected Madrasa education and secured educators’ rights. These remarks were made on Wednesday during the Bhola Sadar Upazila Conference-2026 at the Bhola Alia Madrasa auditorium, hosted by Upazila President Principal Alhaj Maulana Abdul Latif.

Addressing the gathering as chief guest, Central Joint Secretary Alhaj Maulana Mohammad Mobashirul Haque Nayeem highlighted that Bangladesh Jamiatul Modarresin was established on March 2, 1937, and has single-handedly championed Madrasa rights. He credited the organization with numerous milestones, such as establishing the Islamic Arabic University, securing a separate Madrasa education directorate, increasing salaries, and driving infrastructural development.

Mr. Nayeem announced that a grand national conference is scheduled for late October in Dhaka, with the expected attendance of the Education Minister. He called upon educators nationwide to unite for its success and warned them against falling prey to misleading propaganda or conspiracies. He stressed that everyone must remain firmly aligned under Central President Alhaj A.M.M. Bahauddin and Secretary General Principal Alhaj Maulana Sabbir Ahmed Momtazi.

Highlighting ongoing advocacy, Nayeem recalled the relentless post-independence efforts of late Maulana M.A. Mannan in bridging discrimination between general and Madrasa education. He stressed that independent Ebtedayee Madrasas, which have faced decades of systemic delays, must now have their guidelines formulated and executed without delay, and should be nationalized on par with twenty-six thousand primary schools.

The vibrant conference witnessed massive participation from Madrasa heads, teachers, and employees across the region. The event concluded with a special prayer and munajat, including solemn tributes offered for the eternal forgiveness of departed educators, notably the late district leader Maulana Md. Shahjahan.
