US Prepares New Attack on Iran with Plan for 3-Day Devastating Strikes

The United States is preparing to take new military action against Iran. A recent report by The New York Times says the Pentagon has drawn up a new outline on the order of US President Mr. Donald Trump. It plans three days of intense air and missile strikes on Iran’s military and energy infrastructure.
The report says US Vice President Mr. JD Vance reviewed the plan at Camp David the day before yesterday. White House national security officials were present. This is the sixth time in a row that leaders have examined a Pentagon military proposal. It comes as part of the recent large operations against Iran and its backed armed groups in the Middle East. Mr. Trump rejected the five earlier proposals. Now the US is planning a new attack because Iran has rebuilt its missile and drone bases.
US officials say the main targets of the proposed three day strike will be Iran’s missile and drone centers. They also say the command centers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) will be targets. The US has already increased its naval presence in the Middle East. For the first time since 2003, it is deploying three aircraft carriers in the region.
However, Mr. Trump has ruled out a major attack on Iran before the midterm election next month. He said Washington and Tehran are now holding constructive talks on some issues. Even so, a military report by Channel 12 claims something different. It says US military officials have asked Israel to be ready for a large scale operation against Iran within the next three weeks.
Peace talks, mediated by Qatar and Pakistan, have now stalled. The US has set conditions that Iran must fully end its nuclear program and open the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran has kept rejecting them. This has raised fears that conflict may spread again across the region.
