Four experienced volunteers specialising in different fields participated in the initiative.
According to a report by Riyadh Daily, a total of 5,014 eye patients received free medical treatment and consultations during the week-long campaign. Successful surgeries were performed on 586 patients suffering from cataracts and other complex eye conditions.
In addition, 2,353 pairs of glasses were distributed free of charge to help patients correct their vision. The report said the humanitarian initiative is an important part of Saudi Arabia’s global relief and aid efforts. Through KSrelief, the project aims to ease the suffering of sick and disadvantaged people worldwide while promoting a culture of volunteerism in Saudi society.
