Acts of Worship Must Be Sincerely Devoted to Allah, Not Performed for Show: Sarsina Pir Saheb

Amir-e Hizbullah Alhaj Hazrat Maulana Mufti Shah Abu Nasr Nesaruddin Ahmad Hussain, Pir Saheb of Sarsina, has said that worship should be performed solely to seek Allah’s pleasure, not to earn people’s praise, respect or applause.
“Worship should be performed only to attain Allah’s pleasure. No deed should be done with the intention of receiving praise, respect or applause from others. Showy worship undermines the true purpose of religious deeds. Therefore, every Muslim should maintain pure intentions and perform all deeds solely for Allah’s pleasure,” he said.
He further said that sincerity of heart, piety and purity of deeds were more important than outward behaviour and formalities. He urged Muslims to avoid self-promotion and ostentation in worship and follow the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. He also called on everyone to play their respective roles in establishing Islamic values in personal, family and social life.
He made the remarks as the chief guest at an Isale Sawab, religious sermon and prayer gathering organised by the Bandar Thana unit of Bangladesh Jamiyat-e Hizbullah and its affiliated organisations—Aimma-e Hizbullah, Jubo Hizbullah and Chhatra Hizbullah—at Gharmora Central Eidgah ground in Kalagachhia, Bandar upazila, Narayanganj, on Monday, October 19, marking the arrival of the Pir Saheb of Sarsina Darbar Sharif.
Among others, Bangladesh Jamiyat-e Hizbullah Organising Secretary Maulana Mohammad Hemayet Bin Tayyeb, Naib-e-Mudir of Sarsina Darussunnat Jamia-e Nesar al-Dinia Maulana Mohammad Mamunul Haque, and Maulana Mohammad Mohebbullah Al Mahmud, who accompanied the Pir Saheb on his visit, addressed the gathering.
Local Islamic scholars, worshippers, leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamiyat-e Hizbullah, Jubo Hizbullah and Chhatra Hizbullah, and people from various professions attended the event.
At the end of the gathering, the Pir Saheb led the concluding prayer, seeking peace and prosperity for the country, the nation and the Muslim Ummah, as well as the pleasure of Almighty Allah.
