Actress Mousumi Mou injured in road accident

Television presenter and actress Mousumi Mou narrowly escaped a serious road accident after a speeding pickup truck crashed into the vehicle carrying her while she was returning from an event. Speaking to the media, she said she was not in critical condition but suffered injuries to her head, chest, hands, and legs.

Sharing the incident on Facebook, she wrote, “Alhamdulillah! I survived a major accident yesterday. A pickup truck hit our car while we were returning after a show. I was thrown from the left side of the vehicle to the right. I injured my head, chest, hands, and legs, but thankfully nothing serious happened.” Mousumi said her makeup artist, Mumin, was riding a motorcycle directly behind her car. She added that if the pickup had struck the door beside her seat, she might not have survived.

The actress alleged that the pickup driver was driving recklessly and claimed the vehicle’s brakes were faulty. She also said the driver’s behaviour appeared suspicious, adding that the pickup’s owner later told her the driver was not supposed to be behind the wheel. However, she stressed that the circumstances of the accident should be established through a proper investigation. Expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah for surviving the crash, Mousumi said her greatest relief was that she was still alive.
