Real Madrid, Barcelona Extend Condolences to Messi

Jorge Messi, Lionel Messi’s father and first agent, played a key role in shaping his son’s legendary career. He helped facilitate Messi’s move to Barcelona, where the Argentine became one of the club’s greatest players. Following Jorge’s death, Real Madrid and Barcelona expressed condolences to Messi and his family. Real Madrid said its president and board were deeply saddened by his passing and extended their sympathy to his loved ones.

Barcelona also mourned Jorge, thanking him for his commitment and trust during Messi’s early years at the club. Messi’s boyhood club, Newell’s Old Boys, also paid tribute, recognising Jorge’s lasting influence on his son’s career.
